Insight Phosphate Sensor project in partnership with LG SONIC has been nominated for an Aquatech Innovation Award 2023.

Dr Margaret McCaul led the Insight project whose aim was to transfer knowledge from Insight at DCU to LG SONIC on how to build and fully integrate a phosphate sensor platform into the LG SONIC Platform.

The LG Sonic Phosphate Sensor offers a comprehensive and insightful understanding of how phosphate levels evolve over time and across different areas within water bodies. This revolutionary technology empowers water operators to remotely monitor phosphate levels in real-time, at various depths.

This year a total of 14 innovative technologies have been selected by an expert jury in the lead up to Aquatech 2023 in Amsterdam. The awards recognize world-class innovation and technologies that have the potential to disrupt the global water market. Individual category winners will be announced in Amsterdam on the 6 November.
