Yifei Zhou is a PhD student at Insight Centre, University of Galway. His research mainly focuses on traditional recommendation algorithms like Collaborative Filtering and cross-domain recommendation algorithms using knowledge graphs and diffusion kernels. He also specialized in web-mining topics, such as social network analysis, random-graph models, random-walk algorithms, and community detection.
Yifei obtained his bachelor’s degrees in Computer Systems from the Shandong University of Technology and the University of Limerick in 2018. For his graduation project, he made a shape detection program using a blob detection technique based on OpenCV. And he continued his study at the University of Galway to get his master’s degree in data analytics in 2019. His master thesis exhibited the surveys and critiques of the existing methods used in link prediction problems on heterogeneous graph datasets.
