Thompson Gyedu Kwarkye

Postdoctoral Researcher

Thompson is an anthropologist with a solid commitment to interdisciplinary and trans-disciplinary teaching and research. Since November 2023, he has been a Postdoc at the School of Information and Communication Studies at UCD developing micro-credential modules on AI ethics and governance. Before taking up this position, Thompson worked as a postdoctoral researcher at the Faculty of Law at the University of Oxford. His research is linked to public policy, digital humanities, media culture, AI governance, ethics and techno-political intersections between the Global North and South.

Thompson enjoys reading and listening to music. I don’t drink coffee, but I like talking to people over coffee about anything; from politics, climate change, Artificial Intelligence to every of those challenges our world is facing today.
