Sanjaya D. Gunawardhana is a Postdoctoral Researcher in the School of Electronic Engineering, Dublin City University, under the supervision of Dr Shirley Coyle and Prof. Tomas Ward.

Sanjaya formally completed a PhD in the areas of Triboelectric energy harvesting, Self-powered sensing and micro/nanofabrication targeting wearable electronic applications. He completed his bachelor’s degree in Textile Process Engineering in 2018 and master’s degree by research in the field of wearable energy harvesting in 2020 at the University of Moratuwa Sri Lanka. Before moving to Ireland, Sanjaya was a research scientist at the Sri Lanka Institute of Nanotechnology, conducting research with wearable sensor fabrications.
