Dr. Michele Garraffa is a Senior Research Co-ordinator at University College Cork, where he leads a project between Confirm and Johnson & Johnson. He obtained a PhD in Operational Research at Politecnico di Torino in 2016 and he has contributed to different industrial research projects since 2012. His main research interests are related to the design and study of hybrid solution approaches for a variety of combinatorial optimization problems, with a special preference for those arising in the context of production scheduling.
