Postdoctoral researcher

MAJJED AL-QATF is a Postdoctoral researcher at the University of Galway, working with Prof. Edward Curry.  MAJJED received a B.S. degree in network technology and computer security from Sana’a University, Sana’a, Yemen, in 2013, an M.S. degree in computer science and technology from Central South University, Changsha, China, in 2019, and a Ph.D. degree in computer science and technology from the University of Science and Technology of China(USTC), Hefei, China, in 2023.  MAJJED has experience working with network intrusion detection, image captioning, image enhancement, activity recognition, artificial intelligence, especially deep learning, machine learning, Knowledge graphs, NLP, and CV.

He has published papers in reputed journals like IEEE Transactions on Multimedia, ACM Transactions on Multimedia Computing, Communications and Applications, Engineering Applications of Artificial Intelligence, Applied Intelligence, IEEE ACCESS, and Journal of Intelligent & Fuzzy Systems. He has also published papers in conferences like the IEEE International Conference on Big Data, the International Conference on Software and Computer Applications, and the International Conference on Graphics and Image Processing.

Currently, he is working in data space and Knowledge Graphs for Data Sharing, large language models, and retrieval augmented generation for question answering.
