Louise Holden has worked in Irish media for 25 years, writing for the Sunday Tribune, the Sunday Independent and the Irish Independent before taking up the role of Education, Higher Education and Science Correspondent with The Irish Times in 2002.
Louise has taught programmes in journalism, editing, layout and design at Griffith College Dublin, Dublin Business School and Rathmines College of Further Education.
She has made frequent contributions to radio and television and was guest presenter on RTE’s The Works.
In 2014, with fellow Irish Times journalist Grainne Faller, Louise cofounded FH Media Consulting Ltd, to provide specialised communication support to science, research and higher education clients.
FH Media has authored a bespoke training programme for researchers and academics, which is delivered regularly to clients such as the Irish Cancer Society, UCD Earth Institute, the Insight SFI Research for Data Analytics, Maynooth University, the National Children’s Research Centre and DCU.
FH Media has produced media content for a range of clients including the University of Limerick, UCD, INTO and Bioinnovate Ireland.
