Dr Shuoshuo Xu is a Postdoctoral Researcher specializing in pavement condition detection. He holds a Ph.D. from Chang’an University, China, where he developed a multi-particle tracking method using X-ray CT for clay 3D deformation tests. As a visiting Ph.D. student at University College Dublin, he furthered his research. Currently, he is part of an industrial R&D project at University College Cork, Ireland, focusing on road pavement condition monitoring using smartphones. Dr Xu has authored multiple publications and is skilled in image processing, machine learning, and X-ray CT methodologies.
