Dr. Eoin Brophy

Postdoctoral Researcher

Eoin received his M.Eng. degree in electronic engineering from Maynooth University in
2017 and began lecturing in Electronic and Microcontrollers in IADT. In 2018, Eoin took up
a Research Assistant position with SAP and Insight SFI Research Centre for Data Analytics.
He is currently pursuing a PhD degree with the INFANT Research Centre, UCC and the
DCU School of Computing. His research interests include developing deep learning methods
as a reliable tool to generate and process medical time-series data that adhere to privacy-
preserving regulations. Ultimately, this will allow for sharing and disseminating medical data
and, in turn, advancing clinical research in the relevant fields, such as in the neonatal ICU.
He won the Apple Best Paper Award from the WristSense Workshop at PerCom 2020.
