Brian joined Insight in August 2023 as Business development officer for Insight@DCU operations team. His role is to support the Insight@DCU Business development manager identify opportunities for collaboration with industry partners and funding organisations. Working closely with all functions of the Insight@DCU operations team he will support insight researchers through the development and co-ordination of research projects with industry collaborators.
Brian attained a BSc in Sport Science and Health in the School of Health and Human performance in DCU in 2017 before completing his MsRes in Neuromuscular fatigue and training load monitoring in the Southeast Technological University in 2020. Brian brings diverse experience from the sports sector having worked in several national sporting organisations prior to joining Sport Irelands Research and Innovation team as a research and evaluation officer in 2021, with his most recent role being a research assistant in within the Royal College of Surgeons, school of physiotherapy.
Brian is a research and project management professional with experience in stakeholder engagement; simplifying complex research data into actionable insights; policy and program
evaluation; identifying, facilitating, and supporting key stakeholder partnerships and collaborations at a local and national level.
