I received my bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from National Institute of Technology (NIT), Agartala , India and a Masters by Research in Information Technology from Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Delhi, India. I am currently pursuing a Ph.D. degree in Computer Science at the Insight SFI Research Centre for Data Analytics, UCD.
I am working on slate based recommender system via reinforcement learning pertaining to increase in user’s session engagement during an activity , i.e., listening to songs, watching videos, etc. My supervisor is Assoc. Prof. Neil Hurley from Computer Science department UCD.
I am looking at ways of making recommender system via reinforcement learning scalable and deployable in production systems from the industry point of view. In my leisure time I am involved in sports activities like badminton, cricket and football to unwind and maintain a healthy lifestyle apart from research.
