Applications are invited for an appointment as Business Development Manager – Insight SFI Centre for Data Analytics, Administrative Officer, Full-Time, Specific Purpose (circa 2 years) at NUI Galway.
Reporting to the Site Director of the Insight SFI Centre for Data Analytics the postholder will have senior business development experience in a complex environment. Key to the success of this role is the post holder’s ability to deliver and manage funding/revenue and to acquire projects through development of commercial research partnerships.
The post-holder will develop a deep understanding of the complex research work being carried within the centre and will maintain an in-depth technical understanding of current trends in the technology industry. Using this technical understanding they will work with researchers to identify commercialisation potential in their research outcomes.
As a senior professional within the business development team the business development manage will lead on projects of strategic importance across Insight, helping to create both internal and external networks that facilitate the implementation of strategic projects and relationships.

Salary:
€71,440 to €90,400 p.a (applicable to new entrants effective from January, 2011)
(This appointment will be made on the Administrative Officer scale in line with current Government pay policy)
