Insight UCC has received a large hardware donation from Verizon Media. Mark Cuddihy (Datacenter Engineer) and Michael Creamer (Senior Data Centre Manager) visited UCC campus to officially hand over the equipment, including 40 servers, to Peter MacHale (High Performance Lead) and Prof. Barry O’Sullivan (Director). This donation will effectively double the amount of computer power available to the centre in UCC. UCC would also like to thank Prof. John McInerney (Physics) for paving the way.
