A key part of combatting the climate crisis, is understanding what’s happening and what to expect. Professor Andrew Parnell is studying the effect of climate change on sea level rise. His work has garnered global media attention from the BBC to the New York Times.

Parnell is continuing his work on tracking sea level rise and the effects of climate change. You can read more about his research on the SFI website here.

As part of Silicon Republic’s Sustainability series last year, he talked about how data analytics can help us to model climate change and its potential effects on Ireland. You can read the full fascinating story of his research here

He also spoke to Claire O’Connell in The Irish Times back in 2019. You can read that piece here.
