Insight team assembles for Google Air Quality Data Hack

Insight SFI Research Centre Funded Investigator (FI) Mimgming Liu (pictured) has assembled a team for the upcoming Google Air Quality Data Hack which is running from 24th to the 26th of February.

Air quality enthusiasts and environmentalists, data scientists and analysts, AEC, UX/UI and service designers, urban planners, app and game developers will come together to participate in the ground-breaking hackathon at the Google Foundry.

The event invitation states that over three days, participants will have the chance to work with some of the brightest minds and develop innovative ideas that can help improve air quality in our cities and communities.

The Insight team is made up of Mingming Liu (team lead), Sen Yan (PhD student, Insight DCU), Yingqi Gu (Alkermes, former Insight researcher at Insight DCU), Eric Arazon Sanchez (Postdoc researcher, Insight DCU), Jaime Fernandez (Postdoc researcher, Insight DCU), Shaoshu Zhu (Research assistant, Insight DCU) and David O’Connor (School of Chemical Science, DCU).
