Sedicii has developed and patented a technology based on the Zero Knowledge Proof Protocol that eliminates the transmission, storage and exposure of private user data during authentication or identity verification, which reduces identity theft, impersonation and any fraud resulting from the identity theft. It was seeking to raise €5m in 2015 to take advantage of the opportunities arising from the implementation of GDPR in the EU. It has raised over €1m in three rounds of funding and currently employs between 30 and 50 people from its Waterford headquarters.
