Dr Victor Pacifique Rwandarwacu is a Medical Doctor, Health Data Scientist, and Clinical Researcher with advanced training in epidemiology, biostatistics, and applied clinical analytics. He is currently a Research Associate at the University of Galway, where his work focuses on applying digital health and data-driven methodologies to strengthen clinical decision-making. He contributes to the design and implementation of an AI human-in-the-loop Clinical Decision Support System (AI-CDSS) for hypertension within the College of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, under the supervision of Conor Judge. His research is grounded in large-scale pragmatic clinical trials and real-world health data; previously, he coordinated the DYNAMIC trial at the Swiss Tropical and Public Health Institute (Swiss TPH), leading the evaluation and local adaptation of the ePOCT+ digital clinical decision support algorithm across primary healthcare facilities in Rwanda, demonstrating substantial reductions in inappropriate antibiotic prescribing without compromising clinical outcomes.
