Mohamed is a Research Assistant and PhD Researcher at e-Gov Centre, Insight@NUIG. Mohamed have a BSc., and MSc. in Management Information Systems from the department of Information Systems and Computers, Faculty of Commerce Alexandria University, Egypt.
His BSc. was awarded with “Distinction – Class of Honor” and ranked top of 2010 Class, and his MSc. was co-supervised by Dr. Adegboyega Ojo. Mohamed have worked for Insight News Lab, and his last position before joining Insight Centre, was Teaching Assistant at the department of ISC where he was teaching Information System lab sessions, supervising final year students’ graduation projects. Mohamed had Co-Founded Tedux.com which is a startup wishing to offer semantically oriented e-business applications and services.
He also have a prior work experience as Oracle applications support specialist which included the tasks of administering and maintaining Alexandria University portal.
Mohamed's have involved in multiple projects at Insight, beside his previous MSc. project and his current PhD research, with Insight News Lab (HUJO):
A- SRI project, He worked on knowledge extraction, content annotation, classification and archiving for social media to build a social archive branch in the Digital Repository of Ireland.
B- Newswire 2.0 project, His job was to stream linking news articles with social media reactions with all possible semantic enhancements.
