I work on a variety of projects (prototype development and data analysis) within the Applied Innovations group at Insight, National University of Ireland, Galway. My work involves applying Insight research outputs to industry use cases.
My primary degree is in Physics and Astronomy, and I received an Irish Research Council for Science, Engineering, and Technology (IRCSET) scholarship to complete my PhD in Astronomy. I also have two university diplomas in the area of Irish language and translation. Before joining the Applied Innovations team I spent a few years working as a software engineer for Nortel and Cisco Systems.
