Sha Yu received her Master’s degree (Hons.) and the Ph.D. degree in Electronic Engineering from Dublin City University, Ireland, in 2011 and 2015, respectively. After that, she joined the Computational Medical Imaging Laboratory, Sun Yat-sen University, Guangzhou, China, as a Post_doctoral Researcher and Investigator. She is currently a Post_doctoral Researcher with the Insight Centre for Data Analytics, Dublin City University. Sha received the Best Paper Award from the 14th IMVIP Conference in 2010, the Student Travel Grant from the IEEE VCIP Conference in 2013, and the Best Oral Presentation in the Second ICIAI Conference in 2018.
Her current research interests are in the areas of image restoration/registration, stereo vision and 3-D scene reconstruction. Sha is currently working on Images-based 3D Scene Reconstruction, for the Smart-site Survey Project which is co-founded by Enterprise Ireland and Panalpina World Transport (Ireland).
