Hilary has a BSc. in Cell Biology and Molecular Genetics (UCD) and a PhD in Neuroscience (UCD). After working as a Post-Doctoral Fellow in the lab of Prof. Miles Whittington (Leeds University) and Prof. Chris Peers (Leeds University) she worked in the Cantor Arts Centre, Stanford University as an Education and Engagement Officer. After completing an MA in Art in the Contemporary World (NCAD) in 2009 and a Higher Diploma in Management and Digital Marketing (DCU) in 2013, Hilary worked as an Engagement and Outreach Officer in The Irish Museum of Modern Art and went on to run the not-for-profit space ArtBox from 2013-2015, supported by Dublin City Council and linked to MA programmes throughout Dublin.
