My name is Andrea Yañez. I am a first year Research Master student working in unit for information mining and retrieval (UIMR). My professional motivation is to make a contribution with a positive social impact on people’s lives using technology. My work has been focused in the development of a Visualization Tool with R that would allow the user to interact with an epidemic model by observing the simulated outcomes of potential interventions (e.g. closing a school) that would help contain the outbreak.
