Insight's Siobhán Grayson wins Student of the Year at the 2017 DatSci Awards
Insight's Siobhán Grayson has just won Student of the Year at this year's 2017 DatSci Awards. It was a good year for Insight students with Insight@DCU's Eva Mohedano and Mark Marsden also nominated in the same category. Insight's Founding Director Barry Smyth gave the keynote entitled Data. A Healthy Obsession?
Grayson is a PhD student in computer science. Her primary research involves identifying structure in multi-relational social networks under the supervision of Dr Derek Greene. Her research interests include machine learning, social network analysis, cultural analytics, natural language processing, time series analysis, and anomaly detection. Huge congratulations Siobhán!
